Just picked my first ripe tomato ..3 days ago

Been eating them since the 2 week of June or so here. Look for a greenhouse in the spring that has plants that a developed quite well. You'll get many more matahers sammiches.

Been eating one every day for two weeks now. Toast, mayo and pepper. The best.

My gma offered her hospice nurse a tomato sandwich last month and I'll just say you could've heard a pin drop when she asked for peanut butter. I cant speak for the others in the room but I know I gave her a look, as if she just grew a 3rd arm.

It's funny now but it took alot of convincing my gma her nurse wasnt a communist or spy . Lol

In fact I believe there might've been a 11th commandment but moses didnt have enough room. It was the recipe for a tomato sandwich. It simply read-

2 slices of bread
Tomato slices
Dukes mayonnaise
Salt and pepper



Put together equals a meal fit for the king of kings

I'm not going to bash the mayo type , being I havent tried it .

Also if white can kill a wolverine with a brown bag , I'm unsure how he'd take someone bad mouthing his mayo.

I'm actually in Newark nj now and will be headed to Greenwich,ct tomorrow working .

I'm always looking for a dukes mayo alternative being I travel .

Would cains be available in this area? I've got the homegrown tomatoes with me

Brett Thomas, you could try Wegmans. They have a massive grocery store in NJ. Not terrible far from Newark.

Nessy - How about this - I should make some homemade mayonnaise from the girls' eggs and then make a mater sammy with it!!!!!! I will let you know right away if I get the time to pull that off!
