School me on 2nd amendment...

Specifically, how background checks, registration of certain parts of certain firearms, gun free zones, and any other forms of gun control already in existence in the land of the free exist alongside the phrase "shall not be infringed".

A lot of the stuff already in place sounds pretty "infringy".

I can explain it in one word.

Although liberals are most of the problem but there's more imo. Why do some Repubs vote for any form of gun control? Why does our supposed 5-4 conservative SCOTUS not take up 2nd cases that could secure shall not be infringed? Ain't just liberals.

That comes from the National Firearms Act, which the NRA supported and helped write.
