From what I have watched it looks like a hoot without the "same old same old" like on the other late night talk shows.

He said from the start he was not going the route of other late night "hacks" plus he's the old SNL crew from back when they were funny.

Going to tape it and see what it's about I can always delete it if it's the same trash just thought that statement was worth giving it a chance.

I never heard of the show. I like David Spade. David Spade is a conservative Republican, but down plays it, probably for fear it will hurt his career. I hope the show is good and makes it.

Sorry, I can't remember what show they were on. I remember that Dennis Miller outed him and David Spade did not disagree and when pushed admitted that it was bad for his career to be Republican. You should be able to find the video on Youtube.

David Spade also got criticized for criticizing obama, outside of a bar.

I saw another interview with David Spade where he said young people as they gain life experience become Republican. That should be on Youtube too.

"Right Leaning"? that may very well be true, but many of them would be called RINOs by the most vocal of today's republicans- Just like happens here.

What happened to dens during Obama's years is happening to Republicans.

These purity tests will come back to bite.

And why do people insist on listening to programs that tickle their ears-

So Anderson Cooper is a right leaning conservative??? I call BS on that. I skimmed through the list but that one about made me choke.

As far as David Spade goes I haven't watched his show yet but I do remember several years ago he bought the Phoenix PD (I think) AR 15 rifles so they'd be able to match the criminals fire power. He went up in my eyes by doing that. He's not anti police. I think Phoenix is his hometown.

"Over the years, we’ve heard the likes of Victoria Jackson, Dennis Miller, and — yes — Adam Sandler speak out about being Republicans. In fact many members of Sandler’s crew are also noted conservatives. Rob Schneider publicly changed parties and blamed the Democratic party for abandoning him! David Spade has openly criticized President Obama for his lack of “dignity,” and while he won’t declare a party, he admitted that as he’s gotten older and wealthier, he’s moved closer to the Republican side."

Maybe just watch a few shows before you start picking things apart, it seems some folks have all the time in the world to pick at it and no time to look it up, Keith is not your Google folks put some effort into it. LOL

Starts Sept 3rd on the Comedy channel.

Re: Lights out with David Spade? - 08/25/19 01:42 PM

Thanks, Law Dog! I will definitely look it up. I like David Spade.

The following video won't satisfy the purity test of those here who require it, but it does demonstrate the risks of coming out conservative in an industry that will end your career in a heartbeat if you shout it out on the mountain top. You need to "read" the subtext of this interview.

Re: Lights out with David Spade? - 08/25/19 01:52 PM

I have to laugh that people would say they watch a show they don't like when you know it's exactly what they like! LOL People are so funny.

I watched a few clips of it some on Facebook it peaked my interest maybe it will tickle my fancy. whistle

Re: Lights out with David Spade? - 08/25/19 03:53 PM

I watched 3 episodes of "Lights Out", with David Spade. It's not a well polished comedy show, but I enjoyed it. A fair number of the jokes made me laugh. It was good enough, that I'll watch more of it. It had very, very little mention of politics in it.

I watched "Lights Out" on Comedy Central, on my Roku.
