How was the hatch this year? I'm going to visit Maine in October and would like to hunt. I plan on spending a day or two at the coast, then heads to the forks, and spend some time at Baxter state park. Hopefully somewhere in there I will see some grouse, and a moose

I hardly ever see any during the summer. I did see 1 last week. There were plenty up north last fall Baxter north and east from Alligash to Sinclair. I will be in zone 3 moose hunting in October. I will be scouting several times before then.

Likely none of them made it. They do not have a SD style bounty program...
