He's still standing in the field, he just bugled.

That's a nice racked buck in that field right now.

Hes been putting on a show for his ladies. Hopefully one day I draw a pa elk tag, very wishful thinking

Same here, I got a bunch of preference points but only apply for bull tags. It could be a while...

There was a bull bugling on there a minute ago. pretty cool...

I have a camp about an hour and a half north of Benezette in Potter County.

I live about 10 minutes from there.

That same bull is in that clearing now with some cows over by the road.

does someone still shoot an elk in deer season back there?

About once every other year. Some seem to be that "Let's see if this shot gun can kill an elk. Oh crap it can".
Ofcourse you get the people that shoot one just to shoot one.
Then you still have the "mistaken" for deer shots.
It seems to have been curbed some with the trophy fee/fine they can now attach to them.

The camera isn't rotating this morning, been in the same position for an hour.

lugnut im pretty sure we saw that little bull about a half mile from where that camera is a couple weeks ago when we were up there.
we have a camp in weedville

i saw a bull like that on the back of a truck the other day. A few years back a fella shot a llama and took it to the check station with an elk tag on it.

This is just good watching to experience how elk get a long this time of the year.

It's quite this morning our elk should be bungling soon up here.

I think that's a turkey, there was a small flock feeding in that field the other day.

What are the odds of getting a PA Elk tag ?

Don’t know the exact chances, but I think it is better than getting a Maine moose tag.

I’ll ask a friend of mine with the PGC and see if she knows

Latest odds are .04% chance. But, if your selected for a bull tag, you have an over 80% chance of killing a bull.

It's a foggy Sunday Morning in Pennsylvania or at least where the camera is located.

i can see about 30 yds here.

A spike bull is courting some cows while a darn nice bull is watching from a short distance.

Canvasback2-been applying for 18 years for either sex and any unit and have yet to be drawn!

A darn nice 7x 8 bull is showing off for a pair of cow elk .

He is a nice one!

A nice older bull is there now with 2 cows he's been sending out challenges but no one is taking the bait yet .

2 spike bulls and a cow are out in the clearing now the one spike acts nervous.

The area close to us was quiet this past weekend no elk at all but it was close to 90 maybe this weekend will be different ?

little over an hour south of me.i'll take the scenic route through there in 2 weeks for my districts mini convention.that area is as pretty or prettier than my area but hold on to your wallet down there.

plus there's rattlers down there.

Well shoot by Montana standard's that's next door ha ha a turkey was out with them a minute ago too.
I find it amusing how the spikes act this time of year big and bad until a dominant bull shows up or scared of their own shadow at times.

Odds are now shown on PGC website by preference points. Used to be you could only find out how many applied. You had to guess about odds considering points. Now you have a much more accurate estimate.

Although There are a lot of them in the most frequented areas of the elk.

It's nothing to drive along the Quehanna hiway and see a half dozen or more crossing the road.

The bulls that hang out on my property have been singing alot.

The two spike bulls are laying down like a pair of book ends with from the sounds of it larger bulls bulging off screen.

Took the Grandkids to the place where elk go to see people lol.

Things are quite in the park this morning .

They weren't about an hour ago. Decent bull and a couple spikes out with several cows. And lots of bugling in the background. Really shut down about 715 central time.

It appears to be quite at the moment but it can change in a heartbeat
