Foot snaring coyotes cable size?

I want to give foot snaring coyotes a try this season.looking for cable reccommendations, thinking I'd use 5/64" in 1x19. What do you guys think?

I snared a coyote around the tail one time! very accidental but it held!

Foot Snaring or Leg snaring ?

Newt, guess it would be leg snaring. Grouse wit. Most likely 48 hour check.

I use 1/16 1×19, barrel swivel close to the loop. I have a video of how I set them on my YouTube channel.

1/8" 7x19 foot snaring with the BELISLE 6" .Cable and thrower Stainless Steel

I've bagged a couple by the tail, they are not happy!!!!!
