ANDERSON CREEK, N.C. (WSET) -- An Arctic wolf is on the loose in North Carolina after escaping an animal conservation last week.

—Escaped white wolf possibly in the area near Spring Lake Ray Rd area or Fayetteville NC. The wolf originally thought to be Buster who escaped in June from Jacksonville NC, has now been identified by photos as a white wolf named Denali which is missing locally. If spotted, please contact 719 237 6940 Deborah or call 911 before trying to approach.

The owner said Denali is very shy and will not likely come to strangers.

She was rescued at six-weeks-old and hand fed and loved by her owners.

Denali is not wild and was not born wild, she is microchipped.

Apparently there are 2 escaped arctic wolves in NC.

yep that's about 40 mins south of here

and last year we had a tiger that escaped from the Carnivore Preservation Trust 20 mins east of us,

One of y'all let a Serval cat get loose down by Nags Head. It has made its way all the way up to Virginia and has been spotted all over, far and wide up here.

So there is a male and a female white wolf loose in North Carolina. Next year there may be more of them.

Canadian wolves will probably be making work for the N Carolina legal system. Once the wolves have pups and form a pack there probably will be environmental lawyers suing for a protected area for them. Canadians pumping up the American economy , Your welcome!!
