RIP Harris Ilsley..NH fur Handler

We lost a great fur handler and friend Sept 26 2019. Harris was putting up fur until he was 85 years old....he turned 89 in August. No skinning machines and no helper. I spent many nights sitting by his wood stove and talking trapping,bee keeping,the Red Sox’s...and everything in between. He was one of a kind for sure....lived very simple....didn’t even have a phone....and a small TV that never worked. Harris never went to the doctors until he was 86. Still had his eye sight,hearing, teeth, and a sharp mind. Rest In Peace Harris .

Wow, that is a loss to you personally and to all of us, even though. May he RIP.

Sorry to hear about Harris, he sure put up a pile of fur and enjoyed carving his birds. Have been in his place a number of times.

Thanks for posting. Really enjoyed it. Who’s gonna fill their shoes? Many of us have had similar men in our lives.

thanks Ness..that is how I grew up also visiting and selling fur to Nick Wyshinski in Berwick,Pa...sitting near the stove and watching him put up fur and he would sit down and talk about the issues of the day..years gone by
