Didn’t take the shot - 10/21/19 12:27 PM

I got plenty of time and it appears I’m in the right spot.

For anyone interested, the distance is about 16 feet.

Nice video Hobbie, did ya get that bow dialed in better?

Re: Didn’t take the shot - 10/21/19 12:48 PM

Yes. I took the suggestions from the other thread and it revealed a lot. I’m now inside a 4” circle consistently. The issue was anchor point movement, slight but still enough.

I set this camera up on a scrape about 20 feet behind my stand.

Re: Didn’t take the shot - 10/23/19 01:26 PM

That was fun, thanks.
I have done some looking around at the ranch this last week and have found many scrapes already. Last night I decided to sit a blind and just watch. I had a nice 4 point come to 10 feet of the blind. I was just waiting for him to blow but he never did and went right behind the blind. I never shot but had many opportunities of broad side looks as he was coming out of a deep canyon where they must bed.

Good luck keep us posted on your hunts.

What's the blue stick stuff...?

The only places we have that much sand is along some lake shores, sandbars in the rivers, and sand pits for aggregates (sometimes not under too much real dirt). But woods and farmland that sandy, nope, not at all...

I had a 130" 10 pt at 18yds for an hour one year when i was in kansas and didnt pick up my bow. Next year about the third trip out, that same buck came walking up ( I had monitored that area heavy with a trail cam so i recognized him) He scored 151" gross 11pts that year and went home with me.
