My 7yr old got his first deer

Been rotating taking my 7 yr old and 9 yr old sons hunting every chance I get. Got both of them shooting the crossbow well. Yesterday I took my 9 yr old and had a doe in bow range but she had a fawn with her so he didn't want to take her, then this morning took the 7 yr old and had 3 big does come by together and he made a perfect 15 yd shot and she only went 30 yds and piled up. He was so excited, he said daddy im not cold why am I shaking so bad. Lol. Hopefully only the first of many. I was as tore up if I'd been getting ready to shoot a big buck

Thanks guys. Trapperbless I started taking him along when he was only 3 and he's always loved it. I just learned to make sure to bundle them up so they don't get cold or it'll be a short hunt

That's great! My boy is 7 also, I have a small crossbow for him. No shootin yet, but he says he is going to get a buck tomorrow eve. I cant wait till he shoots one. Its a lot of work trying to keep a kid quiet and not moving around long enough to shoot one.

Yea bucks he's wanting me to cook some of it before i leave for Illinois Saturday. All 3 of my kids love deer meat and the wife too so we go thru a lot
