Killed him Sunday afternoon. - 11/11/19 08:05 PM

Was going to truck to get a bite to eat and remove some clothes since the temps had increased35 degrees. 21 at daylight and 56 by noon. Stepped out of the woods looking both ways. He was about 175 yards in picked corn field eating. One shot he dropped in his tracks.

Should have let him grow up a few more years, jbyrd63 !!! laugh

I'm Kidding, of course. laugh

Beautiful buck, sir.

What does he weigh, and what do you think he'll score ?

That settles it.

I'm moving to Kentucky !!! laugh

Do you have a spare room, or space in the garage where I could hunker down ? laugh

Yes normally I wouldn't have shot him this early in the season , but for some reason there wasn't a giant on the farm I am leasing this year. I only had one deer bigger than him on camera a super nice 10 pt that was the same age class as him. BUT we are in for some dreadful weather all week and I wasn't going to hunt . Also some guys leased the farm beside us and set up a big camper and where shooting the woods down!! So I figured I better shoot either one of them I saw first. Plus the old back was really giving me trouble last couple weeks and the recovery was going to be easy on my son !!! LOL..........

Very nice buck. The pic of him on the ground doesn't do him justice, but the hanging pics really show that rack. Long tines and great eye guards.
Ky's 1 buck per hunter restriction has really paid off over time. Ohio does the same thing and Ky and Ohio now lead all other states in B&C bucks taken every year.

Nice deer.

Just like duck hunting..... if you want to see some ducks just grab the thermos or take off your jacket to take a leak and they'll show up. Good thing it was too hot.
