Thanksgiving crabbing - 11/13/19 04:09 AM
My oldest son and I will be going to Seaside Oregon on the 22nd and will be back just in time for turkey day. Any advice? We will be crabbing off a bridge.

I don't have a clue about crabbing, but let us know how you all do. Lots of pics please. Good luck.

Mink works good if you have any carcasses or shad if you can get it don’t leave your traps over night the thieves are thick there anymore
If you go south a little to netarts bay they rent boats pretty reasonable and the crabbing is better

Most of those small coastal towns sell crab bait at the local stores. Shad and chicken backs always seems to do well. Crabs are starting to fill out pretty good this time of year and since we haven't had much rain they should be plentiful in the bays. Good luck!

My brother and his family go there often and do well with chicken backs.
Good luck.
