Yep..What a line-up for 2020..Hoyt's new target bow "Invicta" then we have the all new RX-4 carbon..PSE has their new Mach 1..Mathews out with their new VXR..Prime has the Black series..just to name a few..It's one of my favorite times of the year!!!!!...Are any of you shooting a new 2020?...The only bow I have shot is a TRX 36 it's good..but there's so many more flavors to choose from...ahh
I won't be at ATA this year so I probably won't get much of a chance to shoot the new bows, but I am planning on upgrading my 10+ year old Bear setup to a 2019 model after they go on sale later in the year.
I like to look at the new stuff but will keep shooting my 2008 Diamond Rock. Would still be shooting a Golden Eagle Light Speed 2 but the top limb decided to explode at about 3/4 draw.
Always wanted to shoot a Switchback but never could bring myself to spend the money on one.
My brother shoots a Bowtech Allegiance he spent 1200 total set up with arrows. That was in 2007 or 8, really nice bow but was a short run model was only around a few years. Used one still run around 400 bucks when they pop up.
I went with him to the bow shop, he was almost dead set on getting a Hoyt, so they where setting one up for him to shoot. While the fellow was doing that he asked him if he had thought about a Bowtech and talked him into shooting one too. Well he shot the Hoyt, and as soon as he shot the Bowtech he turned and looked at me and said Wow.
My first bow was a Browning Fusion even with silencers you could hear it when it was shot from a long way off.
Yep..Archery has come along ways from the days of old..I sometimes wonder how much more can be advanced in bows..It's amazing when some of these bows release energy how quite they are..I don't think research and development ever stops..
I bought a Matthews Vertix this year, I really like it so far, dont see a reason to get a new bow for 10+ years hopefully. 30 inch draw @ 78lb shooting about a 500 grain arrow at 311 FPS.
Shoot traditional and all the new fangled bells and whistles loose their appeal.
Yep..That's how I got started..I shot a Bear "Grizzly"..then I moved to a Damon Howitt "Super Diablo"...rest assured that "Traditional" will not loose it's appeal. I see more than a few shooting 3D all the time..I do agree about the bells and whistles though..modern bows seem to be in a constant state of tuning and adjustment..LOL
I'm still shooting my 2006 Bowtech Constitution and a few years ago I had Martin make me a NEW Razor X from spare parts in their customer service department. Also have a Predator takedown recurve but didn't shoot that this year. All of them will produce dead deer.
Yep..Just got back from setting up my Mathews Q2..Bow is 18 years old..Put a "Fast Eddie XL" sight on leveled the 2nd and 3rd axis..Hamseka rest on it..the sight and rest have more value than the bow...I just can't seem to sell it..I just sold a 2019 Evoke 35 just couldn't feel the love in it
I use to buy a new Bow Tech every year but now I am retired I can't afford such things.I just bought a Diamond Edge 320 I miss the speed of BT but not the price they are getting out of hand on their prices.
Yep..I knew better than to step into a pro shop today..All I wanted to do was set up my old bow for some 3D shoots coming up...Well..Next thing I know I have around $9000.00 in 2020 bows all around me..I swear it's like Christmas morning..I didn't shoot any just looked them all over from cam to cam held them all..SO..I said "Set them up"...tomorrow is shoot day and Christmas morning twice in two days..LOL
There was a guy there that walked in from Idaho..step out onto a lane took two shots with the all new Hoyt RX-4..Carbon bow..turned around told the rep I'll take it..bows like $1800.00
My bow is at least 16 yrs old. Guy went mule deer hunting with us last week,Had all the latest and greatest, his shirt and pants cost more than my bow sights rest quiver arrows and broadheads. $1600 bow $2500 spotting scope. Complained if he walked more than a couple miles. Took a 90 yd shot and then came up with 4 different excuses why he missed. I know not everyone that likes the latest stuff is like this guy but I just had to vent. This guy was a better shopper and talker than he was a hunter.

Levi Morgan doesn't miss 100 yard shots..He is a staff shooter for Mathews Archery..How much money do you think is in that (1) One shot? with the new 2020 VXR..
