l1ranger do you smell smoke?

I think there is a forest fire about 15 miles east of you. Have you seen much yet?

I can smell pretty strong smoke around Stanley

Does anyone in the Shenandoah valley smell smoke?

I can see the New Martket gap 15 miles to my east. No smoke sighted

It's a small fire so far. 100 acres.

its north of new market gap. I saw it Thursday night on my home home from work - it was on the mountain between North Page County and Fort Valley. It was still burning Friday evening - but looks like its done now.


I've heard that it was "wild" and "controlled" but nothing official yet.
