How’s the catch? - 12/02/19 11:54 PM
Plenty of critters on the landscape. Weather here been saying otherwise. It’s been a fight.
How’s it going in your neighborhood?

Nimzy, high water. freeze - thaw. deer season, more rain, some snow, higher water.
Pretty much normal.

The weather has been ugly this week but so far I’ve managed 1 coon, 5 skunks and 17 coyotes, never going more than 5 miles from home.

17 coyotes in 5 miles, now that is good trapping in any weather.

50 coons in a few days. If I get field work done by the weekend I’m going to start on coyotes. I can’t wait!!!

Seems to be rough all over. Guess I was wondering if folks expected a real short harvest. In the big picture bad weather stimulates retail sales. Kinda ironic.

Between the weather and prices I would expect a very short catch, except for yotes.

20” of snow and 65 mph winds kinda screwed things up here, now 45° rest of week so its gonna be muddy. I pulled my line at least. May try to get some new sets in tomorrow on some clear areas where it blew off, gonna be mud dogs either way.

Tough going...it's been a fight; I just can't seem to find the groove. Poorest catch for me in a decade, at this point of the season. The primary culprits for this seem to be a combination of work schedule, family obligations working against me in combination with our weather situation. So, in other words...the usual.
