Who doesn’t love starting with a triple?

For the record, I made five sets here.

No time. On my day off I set twice as many as I usually would. That way when I have a catch I just grab it and go and still have working sets left behind.......in most cases. Today, not so much.

I’m ofer today 0/15. Mistakes today include numerous fired traps and even a stake failure.

Not a good day.

chin up fella, happens to us all.

Re: 21 out - 12/04/19 01:18 PM

0/17. 4 traps fired, 1 MIA and evidence I should have taken the time for remakes.

Amazing just how far 3-4 drops of lure travel.

Re: 21 out - 12/05/19 01:58 PM

I like to wait till about 9 before I check coyote traps. Coyotes like to run around to much early of a morning and I like to drink a pot of coffee after breakfast grin

I'm moving a bunch of stuff today. Took some traps to the carwash yesterday afternoon after pulling them. Will get them back out later today. Our deer rifle season opened yesterday. I been saving back a couple spots that are relatively safe from that thieving horde of city people that descend on us during deer rifle season.

Around here any fox is real special. Red or grey. Coyote population is so high that life for a fox is tough.

We are blessed to not have them.

Here’s a couple more from this morning.

Re: 21 out - 12/06/19 09:25 AM

looks like your trapping in a city. i'm surprised your not running an adc business. if you put another valve on the outside so you raise and lower the bed behind your door you could use it like a power skinner grin

or just put some tie wire in the cab to hang those fox up on the side of the bed and pull them by hand. toss the carcass's in the truck when your hauling dirt and let the dozer operator work them in

If you guys would increase your number of sets to about 100 and you maintained your catch percentage you would give Phil Brown a run for his money.
