Add cayenne pepper to the suet, bird seed, or whatever. Birds don't mind, rodents won't touch it.

It says he was last logged in back in June.

If we had his last name, we could find and call him using 411.com or whitepages.com or peoplefinder more than likely.

Re: Jonathan ...RIP - 12/10/19 02:48 AM

I am saddened to hear this. I think of Jonathan every time I see a different than normal bird or a great close up shot of a bird. In 2009 when I was thinking about writing my book on Muskrats, Jonathan and I had developed a friendship on here and exchanged many email and PMs. I sent him an outline of what and how I wanted to do my book and he was gave me the validation to proceed. After it was completed, he sent me one of the greatest reviews and remarks anyone could ask for. His approval made the effort worth while.

My friend, you are and will be missed. I will see you again in the next chapter.

Re: Jonathan ...RIP - 12/10/19 02:17 PM

I recall when he first joined the forum. He was great at putting together very informational trapping threads too. Many of you, I bet remember his rat float post with the 40+ opics of various designs from people all over the country. RIP Buddy.

Re: Jonathan ...RIP - 12/10/19 02:29 PM

I also enjoyed have seen his posts and many spectacular pictures enjoying learning about the different types of birds that chances are I'll never see here in Montana .
His photographs helped me get through a cancer treatments which in turn I put a bird feeder outside of the chemotherapy unit so others could watch the bird's gather around it to help take there minds off of the treatments like Jonathan's pictures did for me I've been eternally grateful to get through that and so far have remained cancer free since 12 - 26 -2017

Rest well Jonathan and thank you for the memories !

Re: Jonathan ...RIP - 12/11/19 03:22 AM

Dam, sad to hear this. I’ve been away from trapperman for awhile but stop in every now and then. Johnathan was one of the good ones.
Really he’s the only one on here that I remember from when I first joined.
He love to share the pics for wildlife around his home.

Re: Jonathan ...RIP - 12/11/19 03:39 AM

I wondered what happened then I see he did not log on past 06-06-19 Some of my pm's were from 05 during the spring migration.
Many bird ID's have his watermark on them when you check some species on the net.
Think of how many hours he spent in the blind only to share it with the Tman people, just that one shot.....the perfect one he presented to his family.
Share the experiences so others can learn from them.

Now I wonder ,,,who will be promoted to the next WILSON.....
his lessons on water marks for digital photo's is epic.

Have peace in your travels.

Re: Jonathan ...RIP - 12/14/19 02:51 PM

Jonathon and I shared several PM's regarding birds and wildlife viewing in general. He was always eager and graciously willing to share his knowledge with me and I learned much from him during our few conversations, I always found him to be humble and unassuming in his skills, knowledge and abilities....I always sensed that he just wanted me to enjoy and see nature as he did. I will miss his pictures, his willingness to share his world with us as he did and most of all him. May he rest peacefully in heaven....enjoying the special place that God surely has for him. RIP my friend....you WILL be missed.
