My best cat

Picked this one up in a blind set leading up to a toilet. Don’t think I’ll catch a prettier one in Missouri.

Sorry about the sideways pictures. Not sure how to fix that.

Nice spots! That might be a good one to sell for taxidermy. It reminds me of a Bengal cat.

I agree. likely be awhile before you get another. If you ever wanted to get one mounted or tanned that would certainly qualify. I would put it on taxidermy.net, froze whole with a picture on there and a 500 dollar price tag. If no biters I guess you could come down but I think it would bring that.

Thanks goldnut. After 20+ years of trapping i caught my first grey fox 20yds away from him. One heck of a double. The tom weighed 27lbs.

Oh yeah, both were caught in 1.5 dukes. I’ve picked up a half dozen or so cats in 1.5’s.

Nice ones. I don't think you are in my part of MO.? I have heard of one gray fox caught around here years ago and we don't have bobcats that look anything close to that. Good deal.

I really like cats like this in art. I will surely let you know when an opportunity arises that I can use his image. I do that routinely with any trapper who's special catch I use.

Turkeytime this one came from the Paris shelbina area. The grey fox is the last furbearer I need to catch in Missouri other than a nutria.

That would be a tough choice for me.
$500.00 outright sale, or spend a fortune to pay the best bobcat taxidermist to mount it. I cannot stand average jobs on bobcats. Its all or nothing for me, especially with a specimen like yours.

That’s a beauty furdaddy. What did he weigh? This one weighed 27lbs. I also caught a 26lb female today, she was rabbit backed. Thanks for the kind words everyone. Now to decide what to do with him. I already have 2 mounted, running out of room.
