Since Dec 1978,so this is year 41.

As a kid cage trapping squiand rabbits I wont count

With a license since 85

Over 60 closer to 65 actually but of course as a kid I only dabbled in it much like I do right now.
It would be 70 years if you count what I was doing here with my older cousin:

7 years. Only had any clue as to what o what I'm doing for 5 years though, since I've discovered this site.

Somewhere around 47 - 48 years.

66 years, did miss a few when the kids were young.

Winter of '69-'70 was my first season, I've missed a couple since then, but managed to get at least some trapping done each year. I pick and chose when I trap now, this year it will be late January to mid February.
So I guess I've trapped 50 years; wow, never thought of it that way.

Father had died the year before. Dry set under a old stump. set he had used. caught a Coon and a mink there. Sold them to EJ Daley

Counting gophers in dads potato fields- about 60+.
Fur- maybe 50 or so.

When I was 8 I talked my Dad into letting use 6 of his traps to set where I knew the fox would be. After a sleepless night, I road my bike a mile down the road to check them before school and had my first fox double. That was the day I was a trapper.
50 years ago last October.

I got $14 for one and $8 for the other and started buying my own traps. Last time I counted I had over 1200.
50 years later I think I have enough traps.

Dad use to carry me around in that pack basket on his trapline. So, a loooong time.

53 years...used to buy my lures from Dailey. Lots of muskrats around then which is where we all started. Also, every neighborhood kid trapped...lots of competition. Beat a paper route...

48 years here, seams like a lot less. I am now trapping the stream I started trapping in 1971. The memories are great. Still catching critters in the same places all these years later.

Set my first trap in 1960. However, had a long lay off during my mid life years.

This will be my 40 th year.

45 yrs... started trapping rats in Blacks Run, Mt. Crawford VA in college.

started in 1965 I believe,made all my spending money including buying new traps off muskrat,coon,occasional red fox and possum.

Apparently 55 years. Mom kept my essays from the second grade and there is one about me using limburger cheese to catch a barn rat.

But for fur trapping I will claim 46 years.

Since 1955. Gramps gave me 3 traps to make my own sets.

About 70 myself, followed my dad since I could walk. Caught my first mink at around 6 years old.

1960 set my first trap caught a rabbit first night, trapped probably 50 of those years

around 44 years.

Started in 1969 so officially 50 years but went on my father's trapline before that. My first year alone I caught 5 muskrat, 1 coon and 1 beaver. I had a 5-speed stingray bicycle that was my mode of transportation to the creek that was 2 miles away. I think I caught my first 2 red fox in 1970 right on the edge of town and carried them proudly right through town to our garage.

Since I was about 12 and I’m 57 now

This season is season number 55 for me. I still have all my previous licenses.

First year license 1968, but missed a few seasons.....so about 45 years.

70 As a kid I sent all fur to Sears Roebuck Raw Fur Marketing Service.

41 years in 5 states, Maine, Virginia, Missouri, Washington and Idaho.
