Surprise cat.

Checked cat sets today added some on the new place also. I get to my dam grade area that I had a cat on camera a few days ago, it looks disturbed but old with the sun and wind melting the crust. I about walked up to look in the barrel and I caught a slight movement so I stepped off to the side and found this one. It should of took off with the drag but one trap chain was frozen down the other trap came in from the other end of the cubby so it was stuck in the cubby.



Went to pull the cam on the other side of the spillway and found cat tracks under the cam same cat I'm guessing.



Not a big cat but good color for that area.

1 cat East of the Missouri River in several counties along the River (fairly new season) no limit West of the Missouri River. I drive about 50 miles 1 way to trap a better area.

I’m running 5 now I check them every 3 days I learned long ago if you wait to long the checking is less fun getting a few pics out of thousands. I have a civet hitting a cubby but the pans are tight enough it won’t set them off.
