I'm in my 40's, so my favorite football memories are from the 80's decade. Willie Gault.

Not receivers, but Darrel Green, and deon sanders were fast. Bo Jackson was really fast, maybe the best athlete in the last 50 years. Powerful man too bad he got hurt.

Bullet Bob Hayes - according to bleacherreport.com article on the 25 fastest 25 players in the history of the NFL

Position: Wide Receiver

NFL Team:

Dallas Cowboys (1965-1974)

San Francisco 49ers (1975)

Bob Hayes is the fastest player in NFL history.

You have him confused with Plaxico Burress of the Steelers. He was the genius who stuffed the Glock in the waist band of his sweat pants. Gun done went all violent on him.

Were you possibly thinking of Ahmad Rashad? He played for the Vikings for a while and was pretty good. His wife was Phyllis Rashad who played as Clair Huxtable on The Cosby Show.
