Drier fur tumbler problem - 01/18/20 04:16 PM
I made a tumbler out of a old drier. I taped the vent holes but I can put fur in it and I loose all my grit somewhere. Any help would be great thanks

Is there a lot of gap between the drum and the rest of the dryer? What are you using as grit? Is it ending up under the dryer or behind it? Just thinking...

Try corn cob horse bedding. It's a pellet that works good in my tumbler/ dryer. If you have a farm store in your area, they should have it.

I am using corn cob grit. It's on the inside of the drier not sure why. All I can figure out is its slipping between the drum and seal. Hopefully just build one before next season

you do not want a build up of grit or anything you are using that has leaked out of the drum or you run the risk of a fire, keep cleaning out the bottom of the dryer if you have a leak every time before you use it
