Aren't skulls so beautiful , as art themselves ? Like carved ivory...
Now, put a light into the main head space underneath, with a switch, and you will have an amazing night light . One of those lower wattage teardrop bulbs with a switch cord .

Yes Sharon! I thought of doing that after seeing yours not too long ago. I hope to try it out after the next deer season!
Nice pcr2!

I think the beauty and flow of the skull is just as artistic as the antlers.
At night, the light just glows softly through the layers of bone density , creating a beautiful carved ivory look. On winter nights, that light makes a most warm cozy feel , just enough lighting to enjoy the dusk of evenings, not too bright.

Very cool Jurassic, I think a euro is a cool way to respect and celebrate an animal. I have a few fox and coyote skulls I still have to finish up from this year.

The bear skull is to try to keep the grease from bleeding through. The buck is just clear coated

Meathunter, if you did not degrease that bear, the grease will bleed through the paint and sealer. I have seen them turn almost orange through paint and sealer.

Yup,bears and hogs are the worst with grease.Takes a while to properly degrease but worth it.

Nice skulls! Curiosity, what is the light brown item on the floor in a couple of the pics. Looks like it has 8 posts sticking up. Boot, glove dryer?

Yup that’s what it is!
There’s a vent underneath.
We tell the kids to put their gloves on like this.
And this is how it looks after school every single day!!!

Very nice mounts and decor switches and all cover screws are going in the same direction. Did your electrician do that or did you? I am an electrician and all my cover plates are leveled and the screws go in the same direction. Always.

Lol Abu, I went to every outlet and switch cover in our house when we built it and made sure every screw was up and down like that. Finish work is very important to me that it’s done neat!

Wow, who would of thunk something like that for dryers! My problem is my vents are in the ceiling. It's funny you post about some nice mounts and all we do is critique your house????

Nice mounts. I’ve been playing with it as well. I did this badger and yote in a crock pot then pressure washed them. Turned out great.

Yup Scout, my boots will stay wet from sweat for a few days after a day of trapping if I don’t dry them out on the vent. If I don’t dry them out, my feet will get cold pretty quick.
