Game Camera Photo ID - 02/17/20 11:28 PM

Need some help identifying the animal in the photo below. The coyote pic below is to help with size reference. Could it be a Fisher? maybe a beaver? I think it is too big for a mink. Not the best habitat for Fisher....No Porky's or conifers. What are your thoughts?

Mink on the top and coyote on the bottom. He has way too much ear for a cat and I think his tail is wagging away from the camera is why it looks so short.

My second guess would be grey fox. Doesn't look big enough for a coyote but I could be wrong....again! laugh

He said the bottom picture was added just for size comparison

Yep, bottom pic is a coyote put there for size reference since they are about at the same position on the log. Pic below is of the coyote a little further down the log. Lookin at the tail in the top PIC -- I would have thought a mink tail would have been thinner.

Appears to be carrying a rabbit.

When a mink is wet the tail is thinner in appearance....

Alive and agitated they can puff their tail up...

Here are two different mink I snared, you can see the tail is puffed...

It's the coyote I'm not sold on. That still looks like a grey fox to me. Notice the white chin and black tipped tail?

Legs look way to long for a gray fox to me.
