The media has really ramped up the deadly plague !!! Is the motive to scare us into a recession. The political anaylist said only way to beat Trump is if we have a recession. They keep mouthing number of cases in US . My question how many STARTED in the US and how many was "transplanted here ??? Don't complain about how many bad things you have if you keep importing more cases. This may back fire on them. What a perfect storm to want to FENCE off the border. I have constantly said the rise in measles and other illnesses is from tons of immigrants coming in.

Well it looks like human diseases are politically neutral when looking at those last 8 election years. Should be more of a correlation scientifically as the incubation times seem to be very similar, occurring every two years.

If Corona virus deaths ever catch up to flue deaths. I will worry a little then. Otherwise its just a new strain of flue that kills the elderly and sick just like the old one. the only bad thing is we have another strain of it now.No need to panic. If it was like the Spanish flue of 1918 and killed mostly healthy 20-40 yr olds, then it would be scary.

The market will straighten itself out once they realize it was all for nothing.

The flu kills 1 for every thousand who get it. This virus is killing 2 in every 100 who get it. Pretty big difference.

2% fatality rate is from some funky math .the fatality rate has been running at about 2% of the diagnosed cases each day fairly consistantly . To get a correct percentage of fatality you would need to divide the fatalities to the cases that have run their course not the total cases that have been diagnosed

Some of you are spending too much time watching conspiracy theory videos. And that's all I got to say about that.

Its going to run its course its to widespread to contain now . It spreads like other flu so there is no true way of avoiding it except living out the rest of your days as a hermit . Maybe you can avoid it until the country is better prepared . Myself i figure there is no avoiding it i have a huge family we are close to . We babysit 3 grandkids that go to 2 school districts and occasionally watch a niece that goes to another school we have to check on my Mother and father inlaw and my mom and dad . Im not going to change my life for it . It will be part of the human viral load forever the fatality rate will go down as the community builds an immunity to it and will no longer be news worthy

Explain how the two percentages are calculated differently? Do you not believe many who suffer from the flu(s) that come around each year recover without ever being treated by a hospital and counted in the overall number of cases.

My biggest concern is not getting caught up in peoples attempts to contain the inevitable . I watch the news very close because i harvest and merchandise timber it would be in my best intrest to not have a bunch of walnut on the ground if there is nobody unloading containers of lumber in china because the ports and factories are under quarantine. Or worse case scenario its running rampant here and china gets it under control then they block imports . Im hoping the international community recognizes the inevitable and lets it run its course .

Yep..One thing I have noticed since the outbreak is how many country's and governments in said country's are accused of not reporting the truth to their population of people and the worlds populations of people..I don't believe it's at all a conspiracy theory..too many outlets saying the same thing.The virus will win in the end...FWIW

Other than the quote i made no mention of of regular flu I havnt taken time to figure out how to crop quotes . Im just pointing out that the statistics we are being fed by the press dont seem to be figured right they are probably higher . They have been dividing the fatalities by the current number of cases diagnosed not the number of cases that have run its course and the survivors that are free of symptoms . The people that are going to die dont die the day they are diagnosed . A more useful statistic would be the survivability percentage taken from people that have been diagnosed and are now symptom free . When looking at statistics you have to pay careful attention to how they are presented and check their math

Might be 20x more deadly than the flu, but 100 x more likely to get, and die from regular flu.

In the end, regular flu will kill many more people no matter how the libs and media twist the numbers.
