Gas below $2

Anyone out there seeing this in their area? Oil is in the $40 a barrel range. I would think below $2 gas should be appearing at the pumps.

Haven't heard if Russia is still refusing to join OPEC in reducing production. If Russia refuses to cut it's production, we could see some real problems in the oil companies themselves. Meanwhile, there should be cheaper gas.

Also notice they have invoked the uptick rule on HAL. Down close to 10% just today

Thanks White. Looks like some will be holding a little longer than anticipated.

It's likely Russia will squeeze out as much competition as it can. Read yesterday they've been able to lower the cost of production to $40 a barrel. The economic war is likely to heat up.

It will never get under 2$ here that I can see in the near future. I never want to say never but I gas tax here also, and we are the last in the country to see the lows. Once it hits a low for the south it never gets up north till it starts going back, the way it seems to work this far north. We will see?

$2.12 in Edgewood, Iowa and with my Casey's Rewards I got .28 cents off for $1.84 a/gal. YES!!!

Just south of me, gas went up .44 cents a gallon this morning. Was $1.95 yesterday, now $2.39.

Yes but we (PA)have the best roads in the United States Oh now wait maybe just in the Ok maybe not the best

W side Rd 151, I think your roads are better than the ones in Virginia that I drive on.

2.47 here in Illinois — would have been 2.28 without the new gas tax in Jan. Illinois- tax tax tax and then raise taxes.

Pa has the highest gas tax in the US And if you look at the different rankings PA is mostly rated in the bottom one third in nearly every category

I'd been seeing gas below $2 for a month until a refinery in LA caught fire. Yesterday is was $2.03... see what it'll be tomorrow.

We got to $1.99 today.

Yotetrapper30 : yea sounds familar. Youd think they'd outlaw smokin on those refinery s by now! Be interesting, lets see if something happens at Anachortes, Wa. Their about due for some maintaincence.

Scratch that Jim, the woman and I just went past there and it dropped to 2.30.

Just seen this yesterday in my high gas tax state , $1.95 a gallon ( name brand , not cheap off brand ) a Mobil station and a Gulf station both had these prices.
I bet it is cheaper in other states , but have not seen gas under $2 here in a very long time.

I wonder if some of the older posts on this thread who never thought they would see gas under $2 because of high taxes are seeing it now. I would have never thought I would see it in my state.

I gassed up in Hannibal, MO this past weekend at a rate of $1.64/gallon. Felt like I was stealing something as I drove away from the pump.

Taking a long time for those dropping prices to hit here. Not normally the case for it to take this long whether going up or down. Folks ain’t moving around much. Don’t know if it’s due to the continuous rainfall we keep getting or other reasons. $1.86 where I am today.

$1.79 at 7-11 here yesterday.

Filled up at 1.74$ in Dodge City today; cheapest I saw it in a 250 mile round trip was a mom and pop station in Ness City showing 1.56$ on the sign. Sign was one of those old style metal flip-over-the-number deals from back in the day before all the signs were lighted in some way.(Not sure if that was for real, but that's what was posted)

Paid $1.59.9 for super unleaded today.

I saw it as cheap as $1.85 in town yesterday, rural station closest to me was still $2.19.
