Way to go! My son had 1500 rounds of SKS ammo but no gun for it. He just picked up a russian made SKS yesterday for $200. Darn thing will outshoot his custom Winchester!

SKS for $200!!!! That's a great deal these days. They go about $350+ now. I love that rifle. I have a couple and they are all great shooters for what they are.

I'm thinkin that when I'm done this will outshoot a Russian SKS.
If it don't, well that's OK too.

Back in the WWII days, you would Lock the action of the M1 back and then load. Hence "lock and load" now it all makes sense. I'm "locked and loaded" because to achieve that, you had to "lock and load" in the first place. Now that you were loaded, you are in battery, therefore "locked and loaded"

I would hope so. The average SKS is no tack driver. You're looking at 2-3" at 100 yards with junk ammo. They are all used military rifles though. So, that is to be expected. An SKS is a pickup truck, you are building a Corvette.

I am glad I was able to corrupt you and talk you into a good barrel.

I stocked up on BBs and pellets and got my garden going early.
