Cool pics , close to home (sorta) a hour away.
Been on the of same pieces of water a couple times. Also been up the new world trade center once ( very spendy - $42+ ) the museum below was very interesting too , very spendy too.

I kinda cringe a bit seeing the Manhattan skyline without the twin towers though , been up them years ago. Every time I see an older movie with them in the background , I kinda get a bit sad and melancholy.

Very nice pics , thanks for sharing.

A couple pics from the museum under where the twin towers once stood.
[Linked Image]
[Linked Image]
This firetruck was parked out front of the towers when they collapsed
[Linked Image]
Picture of one of the pools that stand exactly where the towers stood. On the railings/borders are inscribed all the names of the lives that were lost that fateful day , I walked all the way around both of them reading most of the names in respect , it took over an hour to do that. Never forget them. Ever.

Those are some pretty cool pictures of a world I may never see. Maybe some day, who knows. For now I'm content with the nearest neighbor 4 miles away and the biggest body of water in the county probably doesn't cover an acre. Thanks for posting all those pictures!

Where were the "fuel" pics taken?

Do the dump the demo debris on the garbage dump?

No! that is a recycle barge and that goes to a recycle center (a barge has way more capacity than a truck).

However under strict regulations they do dredge mud from cruise ship terminal and put it onto a barge (quite the operation) the barge of mud is then towed to a location out to sea called the "Mud Dump" it is here the center of the barge opens dropping the mud to the bottom.

There are also inshore reefs made from old construction debris (inspected and regulated before forming the reef) Here is the cement rebar and steel from a bridge being towed to a specific location...

The "FUEL" pics are taken inside the Morris Canal and the confluence with the Hudson (North River). That is Liberty Landing Marina...

Bob I'm not sure if you recall the navy seal that had parachute failure and lost his life, the presence of CG and Military was around for a time searching for something(I don't know what?

One day I saw a film crew capture a movie scene of a car driving off a pier... Then a crane lifted it from the river
