Re: Tattletales - 04/07/20 02:20 AM

I've wondered that too. Some cities have websites set up for reporting your neighbor. I saw were one mayor said that you instead of snitches getting stitches, snitches will get rewards. I see both bleeding red conservative types and raging limp wrist liberal types that are terrified of this bug, so I'm not sure that it can be split down political lines. Same with those with faith vs heathens, I don't see a clear divide there either, so I'm not sure where the divide is between those who would snitch and those who wouldn't.

Re: Tattletales - 04/07/20 02:24 AM

Also alot of employees calling on their employers saying they are not complying with government orders

Lots of people want to stay home and eat chips it seems , esspecially with ridiculous unemployment compensation

Re: Tattletales - 04/07/20 02:25 AM

I could see the line that divides the snitches being political based, with the limp wristed libs turning in their neighbors, but I'm not sure where the divide is between those who are terrified and those who aren't.

I agree my brother is a lib ( god help him) and my wife and daughter were delivering/picking up some stuff and it was " the stuff is on the porch- slip the money through the envelope slot in the door and leave the stuff on the porch" But one of the guys that i used to work with is (conservative) a germaphobe and he actually didn't have gloves and a mask on ( the glove part is unusual) , although it did look like he was stressed a bit. I would trust the guy i used to work with over my brother sorry to say.

Been quietest spring I ever remember here. The campground beside my place is closed to the weekend warriors which normally doubles our population.

That's because the "divisions" have been engineered for these purposes.....I think we're living in the middle of unconventional, non-linear, warfare........Wu-Flu.....the Chinese and every other power grabbing "tool" are going to attempt to use this.....IF they didn't deliberately create it then they deliberately turned it loose regardless.........evil is walking all over freedom......

Don't just keep your powder dry keep speed loaders ready!

The trolls will have em!

I don't see how trying to save lives has anything to do with political lines. I count myself as very hardcore conservative. In normal times, if my neighbor wants to throw a pot party I could care less. If he wants to shoot a deer out of season that is in his garden or he needs something to eat - fine. But right now a gathering of people puts other people's lives and livelihoods at risk. People that have to work to put food on the table.

I draw the line when you endanger other lives. Would you call the sheriff if you saw a drunk driver? I don't see how this is any different.

It’s in some folks DNA to crush happiness for others, you see it everyday just look at the lengths people go to to prove your wrong on here or make something into what’s it never was just to make themselves feel better. Lots of bitter people in the world that can’t stand others not being as miserable it seems like.

People turn in poachers all the time, and rightly so-they are stealing from you-same as tax cheats, welfare cheats phone scammers, etc. All are thieves and should be turned in.You turn a blind eye to that you are a coward and accomplice.
If you dont want to turn them in then you should at least confront them yourself and slap tame them into compliance.

It is going to take a long time to get rid of the virus because people think the rules do not apply to them. Yes, I have to shop for some foods. But I put on a mask and gloves. If you do not want to. Stay the ---- away from me.

I heard that Kentucky has a 311 number so you can snitch on your neighbors .

Re: Tattletales - 04/07/20 09:47 PM

I guess the same should hold true on not reporting someone stealing another trappers traps or his livestock. Heck why even report the naughty boy scout leader or someone mugging someone. Seems to me someone endangering your health be it drunk driving, smoking in a non smoking area or not confining themselves because of corona virus should be turned in, and dealt with according to the law. I guess the no snitching code should stay in the prisons but should not be the norm of American society.

A tad bit of difference between someone possibly breathing on you and stealing traps or livestock.

Re: Tattletales - 04/08/20 02:24 AM

I had to pick up a hog I had butchered today. I drove through Urbana, Sydney, Fort Laramie and Osgood, Ohio on the way out and back. I saw considerably more people out and about in vehicles and on foot, than I normally do making that trip during a weekday. Krogers and TSC had more cars than normal. I don't think many people are paying attention to the stay at home order around here. There have been very few cases of Covid-19 in our area. I think people are likely tired of staying home.
