Airplanes parked due to Covid 19 - 04/22/20 12:21 PM

Here is a 10ish minute long video of airplanes parked due to lack of use during this epidemic. This is only one place , there are more. This is not the airplane graveyard just fully functional planes awaiting to be used again soon.

I was hearing 10-20 dollars for a ticket for what few flights were flying

How much fuel will one jet use in a day of normal flying?? I bet the fuel not getting burned now just from jets is an unreal number. Lol

Pre covid era flightradar would show an average of 14,000 to 16,000 planes in the air at any given time. Now the average is between 4,000 to 5,000.

I know I can noticeably hear the absence of jets when I go outside. I haven't heard it this quiet outside since 9/11.

A 747 I said to burn a gallon a second or 3600 gallons per hour.
A 737 burns around 750 gallons an hour.

It's the New green deal, already in effect.

My son is an airline pilot, he's been on call since the first week in March and has not been called since then. Instead of dozens of flights a day the company he works for has about three a week.

But since he is on call he has to be ready to go at any time.
