Reclaimed Fur? WHAT THE HEL*?

Reclaimed Fur? WHAT THE HEL*? - 04/23/20 03:33 AM

https://toronto.citynews.ca/2020/04...eclaimed-fur-over-wild-coyote-product-2/

I dont have a dog in this particular hunt as our southeastern US coyotes are not garment quality, but this is another nail in the fur trappers coffin lid.

We are ALL rapidly becoming nuisance trappers....

This may have already been posted, but I missed hearing about it...

Looks like an opportunity for others to step up!

Figured there was some talk about this already....

I'm usually behind on hearing about anything.

This is very troubling, especially with the current state of our fur marketing options.

Capitalists with some imagination probably are already figuring out how to work with those new guidelines. Lots of small fur processors making lower cost garments and then having them resold or reclaimed sounds like an opportunity in the waiting.

Probably so, but overall this is going to have a bad effect on the coyote fur market very soon.

Some times you have to look to the future with a bit of optimism. Is our market now so great that we feel such a loss at market time?
We get over this current anomaly ,things may very well reflect, what retail markets have stated. There is still a demand for fur

I hope you're right, but with all that has happened in the wild fur market of late, NAFA folding and this dang virus shutting everything down this is just another serious negative.

I'm gonna have to go back to live marketing coyotes again to be able to afford to trap....uugghh!

You have that opportunity down there, and I'm sure you will take advantage of it.

One way to look at things,...when we start at a low point( not the fur market),...there is only one way to go! We have a President that is not only committed to that,.but is determined
to redeem his accomplishments. You can see it every day with his addresses to the American people. He truly feels an obligation to the American people

Never implied it was or is good for the fur industry but there will be those that will find outlets, but at what price or value? We were or are concerned about China dominating the world fur industry and that does have issues for sure but we did not seem worried about one other firm dominating the market for yotes until the made a huge decision to go on another tract.

I did a little looking and found an article ( Bloomberg ) about them re-opening 2 factories to produce PPE gowns with plans to re-open the rest of their 8 facilities soon.

I'm no rocket scientist but it appears they were running at half capacity at best. The article didn't say how many the "rest" were but sounds like more than 1. After thinking some more, could they have been forced to close?

It ticks me off to no end. All the greenies talking about sustainable this and sustainable that, fewer things in this world more sustainable than harvesting coyote hides. We all know its basically impossible to irradiate them even if we tried.

The only way to irradiate them would be to nuke them.

Peta has bought up tons of Canada Goose stock and is leveraging to get rid of the fur in the company.
