Will mink & muskrat sets catch raccoon?

I was wondering if pocket sets for mink and muskrat catch raccoon. I mean I assume they will just wanted to ask some more experienced trappers

Only if you want them to.Sets can be made to be either species specific or multispecies.Antis like to think trapsets catch indiscriminately however that is far from the truth.

Depending on the area you're in, you'll catch more coon than mink and rats. You literally have to hide your sets from raccoons.

Tom Krause had a great article on avoiding coon in mink sets on his website, but that was 15+ years ago and it's gone now.

Let's put it this way, the raccoon seem to find my baited mink pockets on a regular basis.

If you dig pocket sets you will catch more coon then you will rats or mink. Well depending on if you have coon.

I love pocket sets for this exact reason. I trap everything and want to catch whatever furbearer gets to my set first (except my K9 sets). Coon make up the majority of my catch, so I dont mind catching them in a rat set.
