My orioles showed up yesterday. They must travel in flocks because I, all of a sudden, had five at one time.
I have seen no hummingbirds.

We just got orioles at our hummingbird feeders yesterday. No hummingbirds yet. Not sure of this cold front that came through will keep them south. Supposed to be frosty here the next several days.

Reminds me to change out the water in the feeders today. We've had hummingbirds for a while now. Remember to keep fresh stuff in your feeders so they dont get sick!

We've had humming birds for about 1week now. My purple martins just started showing up yesterday. Seems like they are late this year. But it has been sort of a late spring here.

Six inches of snow and still no humming birds. The feeders have been out for 3 weeks waiting for them. Maybe this week they’ll be back.

Re: Hummingbirds - 05/15/20 05:17 PM

Found a new trait recently that I was unaware of until a few days ago. I have several trail cams out on our place for lure and bait testing and monitoring sites.

Had been having triggered videos with no visible activity in the view. Then I started seeing a few hummingbirds fly in and out of view. This was occurring just before and after midnight. Not sure if they triggered the cams initially or if they were roosting nearby and flew to the illuminated area after it was triggered.
