Just picked up this one owner 1970 Harley Davidson XLH out of Missouri. Planning on doing a nut and bolt restoration on it including a set of original paint fenders and tank. Projects like this get our minds off of CV-19!

And I Love my high dollar beam! found it under my neighbors shed! I did finally get a proper fleshing knife and works sooo much better on the grain layer!

That is awesome! I haven’t gotten to the smoking yet but I have bags of punk wood ready! Lol do you sew or glue yours together?

I hand sew them. I'm using a long pipe into the smoker so no danger of flare-ups catching the skirt on fire.

Nice. I’ve done both to patch holes, non of my hides are similar sized so that been a little challenge. I may have to do them individually. I hadn’t thought of adding a pipe. I think I have some, I don’t want to mess them up so thank you for that.

Just got back home for a couple days, then back to the mountains. This one caught 2 days ago. 101-pound, 8-yr-old male. He'd obviously been in a trap previously, as all his canines and premolars were severely broken. Collared him and turned him loose.

They really should be the state bird. I enjoy when they fly over my office. Although, when the air base blows stuff up it rattles my office windows... I still like it.

Me and the dog had to go pick up some new tires and rims for the backhoe today.

Have a family of foxes living in the storm sewer in the back yard. Fun to watch. Unfortunately we also had a mallard nesting in the backyard up next to the house. She laid all her eggs and was setting about a week but now has been gone a few days and there are no eggs in the nest that I can see. Based on a lack of feathers I think she escaped but the eggs didn't.

The Boy and I had a nice sit down near a friends barn and got some wing shooting in.

My wife and her sister got a big bunch of green beans someplace yesterday. Wife brought home 4 walmart bags full. So today we are canning them. Normally put a piece of bacon in each jar. Saw today though the gauge on my All American was cracked. Ordered a new one earlier today on line.The one in the picture only goes to ten pounds so no bacon in the jars.

We just planted our beans. We had a freeze last week.

these were not gown here either. Probably from TX or FL. They were at one of those markets

Found this while looking for another old post.I archery hunted in the George Washington National Forst for 15 years It was about a one drive from Harrisonburg VA The hunting was from very good some years to very poor other years It all depended on the mast crop .But the sun rises and sun sets where consistently awesome .I had places I would set a stand in based on the fact that I was positive I would see a sunrise or sunset that I would remember months or even years later . The deer may have come by some times but the beautiful sky is why the song Almost Heaven was written !!!1

Sharon Maple trees in their peak foliage this time of year are a shining example of the beauty the makes up our natural world .I have a spot that I visit/hunt every fall While I have had good success hunting both archery deer and small game The reason I hunt there is because it is some of the most beautiful country I have even seen People spend lots of money going on vacation to see the colors of fall My little slice of Sugar Maples in full fall colors of fall is less than a mile from my front door And even though I have been visiting that spot for 50 plus I still ask myself how am I so blessed to have this so near to me .

WS 151, I agree. You never get tired of admiring the trees. I planted all of these from saplings . Though there are roads with big mountain views I always love to see, as you mentioned, near or far, it is always a treat .

Another from yesterday. Floppy and Tawney lounging after treats in late afternoon. Floppy has dug a den under my high bush cranberry and mtn maples. She has lined the walls with grass, and I even watched her pull out some of her own fur to make the top lining along the floor. I think she will have her first litter of chilluns soon. Tawney and I will keep a guarding eye on her. Floppy has one droopy ear and the other upright.
