we keep getting more unpaved roads , when a township realizes they don't want to spend money on it anymore but it needs to remain passable , gravel it .

Rapid urbanization of Loudoun county is what people are scared of- it's one of the fastest growing counties in the USA.

All the roads within three miles of my camp are dirt, no gravel, just dirt. Twice a year the township brings a backhoe and a grader through. they dig all crap that washed into the ditches out, spread on the road bed then grade it.
There's only seven miles of township road. There's about a hundred miles of logging and gas well roads but the township doesn't mess with them.
