A mouse got into my boat this winter and chewed the lead on a bottom bouncer. Any ideas why a mouse would eat lead?

Same reason squirrels love to chew lead roof boots.

I remember on a drop hunt in Alaska seeing how a bear had eaten all the foam out of a Coleman canoe. Lead seems a mystery but we never know.

I don't know...
For some reason, sometimes it's just very compelling to eat something that doesn't taste good. wink

My son had a truck bed insert stored in his garage. Mice got in and chewed a box of duck shells open and then chewed the shells open and spilled all the shot out.

People made a drink out of lead powder slurry in midevil before we knew it was toxic . Supposedly they drank it because it tasted sweet .
