Amazing photos ! Love those twinkies !

You have the seed they love most-thistle. Wish they are in this area. Too heavily wooded for what they like.

They always sound like they are asking..."can you seeeeeeeeee????" grin

Thank you for the share. Jonathan would love those captures too.

Play with the location of the feeder. I found the finches here like the feeder a bit more out in the open than the other bird feeders.

I have also noticed a marked decline in finch activity at the feeders in the last couple weeks. Maybe more natural food sources?

When they were migrating back this spring I had over 60 in my yard at one time, I’ll see if I can find the pictures

I was feeding as many as 20 at a time ( with four feeders) at camp last years. A bear carried off all four feeders. I hung 2 new ones this spring, no bear yet, maybe a dozen goldfinches at one time. Also get a few house finches at the niger seed.

I do have house finches here too plus a host of other birds, Orioles, and those pesky Starlings, I shoot them with the pellet gun, they tend to hog up all the suet blocks
