Finally Pork Specials

I saw local grocery store has a special on pork butts at $0.98 per pound. Limit of 2. Has anyone just boned them out and made pork burgers?

Might be off a 600# sow. Those do make the best hams though IMO. I worked in the curing dept at Farmland a couple yrs and those were the best hams hands down.. Hot outta the smokehouse.

I grind pork butts and make breakfast sausage all the time. I buy bulk spices to mix. Last week pork butts were $4 a pound here. Gary Benson What they call a pork butt is a pork shoulder, not a ham fresh or cured.
