What have you learned this year?

What have you learned this year? - 06/22/20 01:59 AM

Halfway through 2020 and I just leaned that the virus endangers Trump rallies but not protests.

What have y'all learned (this should be good)?

This is not necessarily something new I have learned this year, as it is certainly not new but maybe it was a little more "reinforced" to me and definitely much, much more clear.
I know that everything most of us on here already do as we go about with our lives, i.e. fishing, hunting, trapping, building solid family values, doing things for ourselves, working hard, being frugal with our money, appreciating the land and all that nature has to offer around us, and having a good conversation and laugh with good friends, all of that, is what really matters.
After a hectic day of work, and being bombarded with news about this and that, sky is falling, what will we do, I know that when I sit down at our family dinner table and look around. I hear my boys talk about their baseball games, and the fish that they caught, and my wife looks across the table at me and smiles they way only she can smile. I swear the world could literally crumble down around us, but when my family sits down at dinner and we start sharing our day...I clearly know what matters the most to me.

Re: What have you learned this year? - 06/22/20 11:35 AM

I've learned;
We think we're lone islands.
Individuals with wisdom
And glory
And honor
And right thinking
More often than not.

I've learned that's about a 3 on a 10 scale for me.

That though I'm a follower of Christ, hubby to one, father to five, and grandfather to 11
A scientist by education
A trapper and lure make by vocation
Who appreciates what God does
More every year I'm still breathing

There's more that I don't know that what I do
By leaps and bounds.
Pride is everywhere
Humility is better.
Wisdom is shouted
Wise is better.
Opinions are sold as the absolute
The Truth has been revealed.

I've learned;
Far too many have strayed far from His flock
To graze in their own fertilized fields of gold.
And this world would no doubt be better off
If some would feed on a different feed
And drink from a different spring.

The Living Water of Christ.

Besides, we're all 5 minutes from not being among the living anyway
Unless you can hold your breath longer.
Kind of puts all things in perspective.

I thank God each day for the blessings I absolutely do not deserve
but that as a loving Father, He provides anyway.
I'll start with my breath
And that He revealed Creation, Scripture, and His Son
So that we might know enough about what is really what.
In this blessed land of the free we now call home!

Be Blessed TMan folks!

Remove God/religion. Control the media & law/order. Re-educate the population. Erase history and so on. Old commie & marxist tactics to divide & control the people & destroy the country from within.

I learned it's not just effective in Russia, Germany, Czechoslovakia, Cuba, Granada, Honduras & other countries, it's hard at work here too. Hate to see those marxist & terrorist groups making headway here.

Truth?

There's a stop sign at the crossroads a 1/2 mile from our house that I never stop at. I've gotten away with it hundreds of times and I'm not black. We got methheads, poachers, people stripping copper pipes out of hunting camps, speeders, people burning illegal trash fires, kids on dirt bikes screaming down the middle of the road pulling wheelies for 100 yds at a stretch, wife beaters, and on and on who don't get caught, just in this rural county. I imagine that right this minute, there are thousands upon thousands of white, brown and black people breaking the law all across this country and getting away with it.

Liberals don't have to obey laws.
Liberals don't have to follow rules.
If liberals get cornered, they can complain and get things poofed.
