Next years fur

Next years fur - 06/23/20 02:46 PM

So the local buyers are telling me the price on next years hides are going to be extremely low (surprise). So the boy and I decided to try our hand at some crafts were going to try to make ourselves some parkas and gloves. Depending on how the coon do my other son wants a blanket. What does everybody else do with their hides when they ain't worth nothing, I'm looking for other project ideas?

First fur hat I made about 40 years ago I used an old hard hat liner for a pattern.
Then started designing my own patterns after that.

Unless things change alot of species will have no market value not even for pennies on the dollar.

That wont happen here with beaver-local market for local use is solid.
The real bummer here is that they cant sell raw marten skins on the international market.
