Military MRE's - 06/30/20 01:34 PM
Who makes them and can civilians buy them fresh from the factory?
If not, why not?

MRE's are for sale on Amazon, ebay, military surplus stores, plus civilian versions. Military and civilian are said to differ somehow (probably portion size AND content), but hard to found out where.....and there does not seem to be a recognized standard. And the military ones all seem to be "surplus" or likely retired due to date, etc.
Seems odd you can't just buy the Military versions new from the factory(s), but if so, I haven't found them yet.
you can buy them in cases but the actual military MRE I don't see from the factory with full storage life part life left here
