Propane fridge experts advise needed

Propane fridge experts advise needed - 07/04/20 12:56 AM

My camper has a propane refrigerator which will not work all of a sudden. It worked great until it ran out of gas then when I put a new tank on, it will start up but will not cool. The light goes out after a few hours now too.
Any ideas?

Used too much when it was new.
I have one of those too. I imagine they lose the coolant over time. Mine still works with electric and there's always coolers and ice.

We were camped once and there was a earthquake and the fridge went out. they are built that way to shut off.

Was there any "Rocking don't Bother Knocking" going on in that camper ?

Did you run your stove first to get all the air bled out of your gas lines ?

Make sure that your carbon monoxide detector is working. When our fridge quit I think ours saved us.

Two weeks ago, we came home from camping. I unhooked and plugged in. Six days later I needed the ketsup out of the frig. The frig had quit in that period of time. Chicken and hamburger in the freezer along with bacon and lunch meat in the frig. You can only image the smell, had temps in the nineties. Barely kept my stomach while I cleaned out. Tore it out and have a new one in. Wouldn't work on gas or electric.
