Big thank-you from China

Big thank-you from China - 07/05/20 05:14 PM

All the fireworks set off the past week or so were made in China. I'm sure they appreciated the business! I'm sure they don't mind helping us celebrate our freedoms either.

We will all be happy if China buys as much fur this year, as we bought fireworks. Trade is a good thing. We don't need to like them to sell them stuff.

china will buy nothing unless it benefits them period...are you happy with 3 dollars rats? 2 dollar coon? the Chinese are now telling me they will not accept rats under 13 inches and are weighting them to make sure to get only the heavy leather rats. there is a difference between selling them things or giving it to them. but I guess we shouldn't blame them for that, as long as we are willing to give it away. they don't exactly give there fireworks away they are pricey!

I bet some of the big bad ones may have been homemade. Sometimes hillbillies make their own. But the raw ingredients probably came from China.

I'd be willing to bet that the fireworks manufacturers aren't the ones making the bux. I saw people yesterday spending $100 or more on fireworks. I wasn't one. I contributed $12.
I do know a pyromaniac lawyer (no, not that one) that makes some great fireworks and sets them off for the local town.

Many pyro companies in US. They assemble a lot on site. I know because about tens years ago a truck blew up killing a few workers in NC.

The latest swine disease In China, will push the price up and China will be buying pork through Smithfield, which they bought a couple years ago. If our President ever decides he’s gotten enough bad press for his tariffs on soybeans, steel, etc, and the Chinese take delivery on soybeans, We’ll see some movement there, too. We’ve been duped by a politician who boasted foreign companies would pay the tariffs and Mexico would pay for the wall.

One day, the recession will be over, Covid-19 won’t be so frightening and world trade will get back towards ‘normal’. Just don’t hold your breath for it to happen.

America is so great, even those who hate it are still here.
