Will there be a mass exodus

from the big democratically controlled cities?

I know it can be hard to move away from a place you've been for a long time,especially if you have extended family near by, but I can see how many good, law abiding, common sense people are seriously thinking about it.

With most people living paycheck to paycheck or handout to handout, it isn’t likely.

It's already happening, but I would guess the pace is picking up.

Cities are a human trap if not the welfare That holds them there the cycle of money and bills will. They just don’t understand how little a person really needs to live on or they are blinged up to their necks in toys they never needed. I have a few buddies in Chicago they just cannot cut the cord they will die there as much as they hate it.

Jobs, housing debt, family ties. Some will leave but most won't.

I hope those that choose to/can leave, leave their big city mentalities behind.

If I remember correctly, about 100,000 people and businesses have already left NYS. This, of course, is a direct result of Cuomo' policies and unfriendly business-NY. It is projected that more than double that will leave by Jan 2021.
It is laughable when Cuomo cries to the Federal government for money. However, since Cuomo is now in bed with Bill Gates, we are doomed at an even faster rate.
Too bad, NY is a beautiful state with alot to offer.

I have family in Sturgeon bay , that handyman's at apartment buildings on the side people moving from ILL north of Chicago he had to fix something and commented to the movers , they said yup moved 3 last week and 4 this week and that is just us.

most people moving into an apartment in Sturgeon bay in March are a uhaul move not a professional moving service

Sister bay Piggly Wiggle was ordering food at full July levels 3rd week in March with all the people who moved to their cabins.

the people who could afford it likely had a second home any way but yes you will see more people leaving cities for burbs or further.

but your right they need to leave their city attitudes and ideas in the city.

it's kinda funny they get out here and even the grocery store is closed by 9pm , had some one on face book wanting to know where they could get a slow leak in a tire fixed on the 4th of july. buddy if it is a slow leak go to the gas station fill it up and take it someplace monday. the hardware store was still open , get some green slime and go fix it.
if you can't put air in it and wait a day , it isn't a slow leak!

I think these mass exoduses have already been happening but they don't fit the nightly news template.

Austin is full of Cali refugees just like Colorado and as far as leaving their big city / bigger gov mindset behind I have not seen any evidence of it. How many FL residents fled NY, NJ, MA, CT, etc? Answer would be a bunch and they been doing it for decades.

This recent BS will not slow it down I can predict with almost certainty.

The hard core welfare groups will stay mostly as some never ventured out of the their hoods before they are afraid of bugs, grass and air if they cannot see it. LOL When it’s all you know it’s all you have then sad to say.

Y'all are assuming most people think like you. They don't.

I can only comment on the cities I know well: Oklahoman City, Tulsa, Denver, DFW and Houston. Young people are flocking to them--not just the suburbs, but the cities. I haven't done a study on this but am confident I am right.

P.S. I live in the country and have enough neighbors.
