Supposedly the county has been unable to award the contract so it won't be moved until they do. The hundred or so of us don't trust the county so we're here until we know a crane won't magically appear tonight.

The legal (injunction) stuff can't happen until such time a crime (violation of state law to remove monuments) occurs.

One other that might be on our side is that the county square is leased to the city. If the city could be persuaded to enforce their rights as leasee but that's a big maybe.

Well it's coming down tonight. We've been ordered off the sidewalk or face arrest for disorderly conduct. If thought it would do any good....
I'm saddened that the very folks who support the blue are at odds with them.

In spite of the fact that I have several friends that are LEO.

In spite of the fact that I know most are good God fearing people.

In spite of the fact that I solidly support the rule of law and those tasked with enforcing it.

Tonight's demonstration of "just doing what I'm told" by multiple agencies while participating in a patently illegal act has shaken me to the core.

I took an oath, I took it very seriously, it wasn't just a job, I was instructed in the consequences of obeying an illegal order and encouraged to study to know what constituted a legal order.

We are a nation's of laws yet the powers that be and those who follow their orders are just winging it.

I've always said "I could fix anything, from a broken heart to the break of day" but I can find no words to make you feel better, Warrior.

It is hard to deal with a sense of helplessness and hopelessness. Hang in there, a time will come that you find peace, when their world falls in around them.
