Not necessarily. There are different strains of Coronavirus. Covid 19 is the newest strain.

Coronavirus is a family of viruses. Common cold, SARS, MERS, COVID19-SARS-2 are all coronavirus. There are strains of that effect humans and some that effect different animals.

The other 18 Coronas prolly killed just as many and chalked up as the flu .

19 is serious though because of an up coming election

Re: Cornovirus question - 08/03/20 08:49 PM

there are many corona viruses

this one specifically has had a few names From "Wuhan virus" to "novel coronavirus-2019" to "COVID-19 virus," the new official name is SARS-CoV-2

they didn't want to and still don't care to call it SARS-2 which would be more appropriate but it is part of the official name

Nittany, Covid-19 and Coronavirus are the same thing, in the context of what your read and hear about the current worldwide medical situation. Also, Covid-19 is NOT the 19th virus in this family of viruses. The number 19 is an identifying number to indicate that it was the strain identified in 2019.

Black Hills Matter.
Anybody going to Sturgis? 250,000 visitors expected.

SARS-CoV-2 is the virus that causes Covid-19. If you get infected with the virus, then you might come down with a case of Covid-19. Kinda same way HIV is the virus that causes AIDS. Make more sense now?

They'll be fine as long as they wear masks and practice social distancing.

I'm guessing, the attendance at Sturgis will be closer to 500,000 than 250,000. And more attendees will die on the road to and fro than from the post rally virus.

Saw on Pawn Stars last night that in 2014 there were over 400,000 visitors.
If the law shows up, couldn't they just say they were there to protest????
