Grapestomper-Your picture of Hope brings back some great memories! In 2008 it was time for me to take my wife up and show her everything I had been raving about in Alaska. We rented a motorhome in Anchoragua and cruised around there and were heading to Homer. Saw the sign to Hope and figured 'What the heck?" It was evening and we needed a place to set up for the night. Went into the bar there and saw they had 9 barstools and endless taps of micro-brews. Made arrangements to stay there and went back out to the motorhome and told my wife "I think we have a new home!" Fished in the creek the next day or two with Humpies bumping up against our legs. Wonderful time there! Forgot to mention we met a woman who owned a gift shop there and she brought out some of her private stock plum liquer. Really good and went down well.

We were parked next to some guys from Pennsylvania that were in a motorhome. It looked like they were having a ball.
First time we had been to Hope. Cute little town and everyone was friendly. We stopped at the gift shop and talked to the lady there. she was real nice.
Said she had been living there for years. Her husband was playing his guitar and singing on the front porch.
We will definitely go back next year.
