It's a mangy coyote. If you look real close that white tip Is actually some trash laying on the ground.

That county needs to hire a new “naturalist” if they can’t ID that as a mangy canine.

The cotton ball on the end of the tails screams red fox.
The size of the mourning dove, in relation to the size of the animal's mouth screams red fox even louder.

Fox was my first thought but I'm never good at these guessing games, lol.

Fake news, it doesn't harm pets. Only eats sick or dead and wild animals don't go into town.

Fox. How often do you see a coyote tail that touches the ground?

Coyotes can have white tips too.

Coyotes can have white tips for sure but its the length of the tail that is the clue.
