Buck picture 2019/2020 - 08/07/20 09:29 PM

He beefed up some from last year. I found one of his horns this spring at the ranch. I wonder if he would be close to 150 as a 4 point. I'm not good at scoring them and really not interested in hunting whitetail besides. Thought it was an interesting observation thou.

Is he out of velvet already?

He looks like he'll break 150 pretty easy. Good width and simetry, long tines good looking animal looks like a solid 5 year old at least. He would be a shooter in our parts.

Dont think he will make 150 as a 4x4 but a real nice deer for sure

Be interesting to see if the G2's split and crab claws form at the end of the beams.
That is if he makes it until next year.

kind of hard to till until he sheds off but I think he'll be knocking on the door of 150. That rack looks taller and wider than what most are giving it credit for in my opinion. Sure seems it wouldn't take much of a a 5th point to make him look like a booner.

I just measured the eye guards for the shed and they measure 8 1/4 inches. I have no idea how to measure a horn and really don't care to learn. The picture was taken over a week ago and yes he is still in velvet.

No. There was a lot of great bucks killed in the area. I seen a few that where harvested and they said, they were 160's class deer. I care less about whitetail but like to see them and get them on camera.

That is a great buck Snowy!
I'd put him at about 146.
He has everything going for him except main beam length.
I doubt that trait will change much but all he needs to do is put a half inch in tine length throughout and a half in circumference and he'll bust 150 for sure.

Hope you get him!

I am looking at a 143" and 154" 8 point in my living room. If your talking the velvet picture is this year he will push the 150's. If it is the hard horn no.

He has beefed up compared to last year. I saw him many times last year and was a slender and of course a younger deer. He did bulk up from a year ago is what I really noticed.
