Heard about it this Morning. One report said some people rented U-Haul trucks to load up with their looting !! What caused all the rioting this time ????

I have a love hate relationship with Chicago. Its a mess and really a tale of two cities.


Thought it was interesting how one aspect on how they controlled things was lifting the bridges.

Cops chasing a young adult, young adult shoots at them, cops return fire injuring the young adult, the neighborhood comes out and confronts the cops. Things escalated from there and then other neighborhoods started coming out.

Its what happens when this reaction becomes the norm. Its going to continue to destabilize our cities.

It looks to me like this stuff is going to keep escalating untill violence (rioting and gang disputes) are met with violence

Mayor Lori Lightfoot blames everybody else but herself. 35 people shot over the weekend. Chicago is getting what they desire for electing and re-electing socialist liberals like her. How can any person or business would want to live or stay in cities like Chicago?

And I thought things were bad there 70 years ago when I lived there. Glad I got out when I did. Thanks, mom and dad, for moving to MN when we did.

Correct. ^^ Tolerating and even condoning lawlessness brings on chaos. We are on the brink of that right now in some areas in this country.

I believe 100% in free speech and assembly but once you start looting or otherwise destroying property and/or causing or threatening physical harm to people or police, bang bang.

The culture in our inner city slums is beyond redemption . Time to cut off welfare and shoot rioters. Could give a 3 month warning on the welfare.

Some saved or invested, some improved their homes, some bought toys or vacations many bought drugs or booze. Few probably used it to pay their housing and utilities.

I would say those are still the minority but they sure do make the most noise.

The protests/riots in Milwaukee consist of just a few hundred, many are from affluent neighborhoods like riverwest, bayview and the eastside. Most living in the hood are too busy trying to make it to bother with this nonsense. There are 200,000 black folks in Milwaukee and the majority are below the poverty line but you dont see them protesting.


In Chicago I heard once the word spread, that carloads of agitators were being dropped off to take advantage of the chaos.

Good thing Trump won't allow Pelosi and Schumer have their way and pay for the damage via the stimulus bill that the Democrat mayors have allowed to happen in their city.

dont know why anyone would be surprised. this is typical behavior of inner city people...and there usually is never any consequences so why would it be expected to change or stop
